Rescued a dog from Clatsop County Animal Shelter?

I am dedicated to ensuring that affordable services are available to help rescue dogs and their new families succeed. Individual training sessions are offered at a reduced flat fee of $40/hr and group series classes are offered at 15% off.

What Does NCCT Offer?

Canine Training (Individual/Private)

What does it include?

  • Basic obedience (sit, loose-leash walking, working walk/heel walk, greeting people appropriately, place work, etc.)

  • On-leash reactivity (typically towards other dogs)

  • Stranger danger (fear and reaction to new people)

  • Basic socialization (“how-to”)

  • Handling & Equipment Guidance (which equipment applies to you and your dog, how and when to use what, anything from a gentle leader to an e-collar, noseband, etc.)

Rates:

$60/hr - single session purchase

$55/hr - 4-Pack (4 sessions purchased up-front)

$50/hr - 6-10 Pack (six to ten sessions purchased up-front)

*One free 30-minute in-person consultation

**Additional $5/hr fuel charge for clients that are more than 10-miles away from Astoria, OR

Canine Training (Group Classes)

Basic 5 Week Training 101: (dates TBD)

1st meeting (no dogs)

2nd-5th meetings (with dogs)

$200/person

On-Leash Reactivity Training: (dates TBD)

1st meeting (no dogs)

2nd-5th meetings (with dogs)

$200/person

Specialized Stand-Alone Sessions:

Varying Prices (50% of fee donated to local animal wellness nonprofit)

Examples: Loose leash walking, basic obedience, etc.

Dog Walking

$40/hr | During walks I will work with dogs on loose-leash walking, equipment training (if desired) and also working with the owner to learn how to communicate with the leash, etc.

Limited walking slots available, please contact for availability.

*Additional $5/hr fuel fee for clients more than 10-miles from Astoria.

Dog Shelter Consultations & Program Development

Shelter operations assessments

  • Shelter operations and procedure assessments;

  • Shelter program and protocol development;

  • Shelter training and enrichment program development;

  • Volunteer and staff trainings;

  • Kennel Operations (i.e. risk ranking, kennel protocols, playgroups, etc.)

Fees are assessed on a project-by-project basis but generally billed at $75/hr.

Virtual Coaching/Training

For clients who may not be located on the north coast or who wish for the flexibility of working together remotely, I offer digital coaching sessions. These sessions are meant to cover theory and answer questions that clients may have. It should be noted that training effectiveness is based on real world application.

These sessions are also great for clients that want to book an hour to just ask questions, go over specific situations, etc.
